Personal Services

Personal Services on StartLocal refers to B2C (Business to Consumer) categories which include services performed for individuals, groups and to a lesser extent pets. This category is quite broad and also extends to repair services that don't quite fit within the retail categories as they are primarily service based.

Under personal services the primary recipient of the benefit of the service is another person. While many personal services have apprenticeships and can require much skill and dedication to master, they often do not require the completion of formal educational qualifications.

Beauty salons, hairdressers, celebrants, advocates, genealogy services all fall under this broad level categorisation as they all provide services directed towards individuals that do not fall under any of the other broad level category that includes health, professional services (for mixed B2C and B2B professions), home services, (for which the primary effort is directed towards an activity that improves or maintains the house and garden).
